Student-built satellites. Space engineering. Learning by doing.
We're a student team at AGH University of Krakow, working under the Faculty of Space Technologies. We build satellites, learn space engineering, and try to make things that actually work.
We're SatLab AGH – a student team working under the Faculty of Space Technologies at AGH University of Krakow. We're basically a bunch of students who got really excited about satellites and decided to try building them.
Our first satellite, HYPE, was built entirely in-house with custom PCBs and software. Now we're building our next satellite, Puchacz, a 2U CubeSat that will carry Earth imaging cameras and test experimental laser communication technology. It's all about learning what works and what doesn't.
As a student science club, we bring together people who want to actually build things and learn space engineering hands-on. Our work covers everything from figuring out what we want to build to actually getting it into space.
We learn by doing. Building actual satellites teaches us things you can't learn from textbooks alone.
We design, test, and build real hardware. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't – that's part of the process.
We want to share what we're doing and get more people excited about space technology.
We're a team of dozens of students from AGH University of Krakow working on satellite projects. We work across hardware, software, mission operations, and outreach – so whether you're into electronics, coding, or sharing space with the world, there's a place for you.
We operate as a student science club under the Faculty of Space Technologies. It's a place where students get hands-on experience actually building things, not just learning theory. We make mistakes, we learn from them, and we keep building.
